Why Shoreditch is great for a Pub Crawl

A pub crawl is British slang for the action of trying to or actually visiting as many pubs as possible in one night with a group of your friends or even strangers in one single night. Pub crawling has been going on for quite a number of years and is now getting more popular than ever. The idea is to choose a certain area that has great clubs or pubs, meet at the first one with other pub crawlers and go through as many pubs as possible in the vicinity drinking a certain amount of alcohol in each of the venues. The crawl term came about because normally, those who got to the end of the designated number of venues would usually be crawling after all the alcohol consumed. The first thing that makes for a superb pub crawl would therefore be an ideal location.

Location

Location, location, location is the name of the game when it comes to having an exciting pub crawl. One of the biggest factors that go into choosing the location is of course the number of good pubs that are available in the area. For example, choosing to have a pub crawl in a location that only has two pubs is futile as the participants will not have enough places to party in. It also prevents the possibility of having the affair held more than once every so often. For example, the students night London can be held regularly on Thursdays because there are enough pubs to keep them exciting.

Location is one of the major reasons that Shoreditch is great for a pub crawl. This district is located on the east end of London which means that it is a nice get away just a few minutes from the center of the bustling city. A short bus, taxi or bicycle ride quickly gets you into the center of the buzzing district. It is also full of great pubs and clubs to party in with fish and chips shops for the early dawn hunger pangs. A majority of the businesses in the area are indie shops, pubs or restaurants that the hip youngsters love to enjoy from early evening to dawn. Most of the times when people say they want to go on a
London pub crawl, they will usually end up passing through Shoreditch.

Exciting Discoveries along the Crawl Route

When you look at a majority of the pub crawls, they will usually all go through the very same places as these are where the tourists have been told that they have to see. Very few of them dare to leave any room for discovery. An example would be the way majority of the crawls are centered on the tourist snail trails of Soho and Camden. In Shoreditch you can get to discover many exciting places that may not get as much mention despite being worth the same thrilling experience if not more.

Expense

Shoreditch is great for a
pub crawl because it is not in a really expensive area. The only way to pull off a successful night is to make sure to do it in an area that will not break your bank. This means that in each bar you go, no one has to worry about a great difference between the pricing of the drinks and refreshments from one pub to the next. This makes for a fun experience stress free.
